The Angel Messenger is a weekly recap feature on the blog where I tell you what happened in the past week in my life, blog and around the blogosphere. This post links to The Sunday Post by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves by Team Tynga’s Reviews.
Life
We had no classes for almost a week because of the typhoon but I didn’t miss college one bit lol. After three months of the hottest summer ever I welcome the rainy season with open arms. I love rainy days guys. I don’t think any other interesting stuff happened to me so that’s it for my personal life lol.
Oh wait I bought a jacket! It looks so pretty and I feel badass whenever I wear it. I feel like I’m Allison Argent (Teen Wolf) or Skye (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Speaking of Teen Wolf and AOS I’m so green with envy to everyone who went to Comic Con!!!!
Bookish Life
Even though the weather was perfect for reading, I didn’t read much. Also, an author will send me a finished copy of her book for review! I can’t wait to read it because it just sounds so wonderful.
Also, I bought Bridge to Terabithia last Monday. The movie is one of my favorite movies ever so I was so giddy with happiness when I found it at Booksale.

You might have missed…
(7/5) I reviewed The Color of Our Sky by Amita Trasi. I couldn’t recommend this book enough guys. It’s such a thought-provoking book. A story of family, friendship, forgiveness, innocence and our ties to each of our own country’s tradition and culture. I also included some book quotes graphics and the author even shared it on her Facebook page! I might have an interview for Amita Trasi this week or the next so stay tuned for that!
(7/7) I did the best book tag ever! Find out the things that makes me the happiest through the More Happy Than Not book tag!
(7/10) I reviewed Beautiful Curse by Jen McConnel, an interesting contemporary retelling of the story of Psyche and Cupid that just didn’t work for me.
Blogosphere
Are you afraid of ginormous books!?! Cait tells her own fear of big books!
Samantha reviewed Serafina and the Black Cloak which sounds like my kind of book!
A love triangle is totally okay except when…Faye tells us the reason why LTs suck sometimes.
How was the weather in your place? (I know, I know such a boring question to ask but I’m really curious okay.)
IT IS SUNNY HERE. Weather is actually a really fascinating question. XD I really hate rain though, uuuugh. It stops me going walking and I love walking. But yes, I’m sunny and yet freezing. Hello winter. -_-
AWK. Thanks for linking to my post, too!! :’)
And that is a gorgeous cover of Bride to Terebithia! I seriously want to buy a nice edition of that because the one we have has the most gross cover ever PLUS someone took a bite out of a page. 2nd hand books are mostly awesome but…who bites books?! Seriously now.

I’m jealous! I want winter too! I wish it snows in my country. 😦 I haven’t had any bad experience with secondhand bookstores yet…I hope that doesn’t happen to me too!

Despite all the free time from the class suspensions, I didn’t get to do much reading too actually. It was a relaxing past week though- cozy at home as it rains outside. Totally my definition of perfect weather too. 😉

I hope you post a review of Bridge to Terabithia. That’s been on my reading list, too.

I love clothes that make you feel like you can take on the world when you wear them! (I’m also so jealous of the Con goers. ONE DAY IT WILL HAPPEN.)
The weather in SoCal was HOT a week ago, now we’ve had a few days of kind of hot, and now it seems like this week will head into the OH MY GOD I’M MELTING heat again. So much fun xD

Alright, I’m sort of turning green with envy over the fact that you guys are on the rainy season – we’re in our hot season right now, and it hasn’t rained in something like two weeks. (Which pretty much means it’s impossible to go anywhere without melting into the sidewalk. Yay? 😉 ) By the way, I’m so excited that you found a copy of Bridge to Terabithia – but read it with a box of tissues nearby, because *that scene* is far more heartbreaking in the book than in the film. *sobs*
