Synopsis from Goodreads: When Vivian’s mother dies in a tragic accident, Vivian’s world is turned upside down. Her life, as she knows it, is over. A new life, full of her mother’s secrets, begins… Sent away by her father to live with two eccentric aunts on the mysterious Tremaine Estate, Vivian comes to learn that a powerful curse lurks over her family – one that only she may have the power to break. With each day she spends in Misty Hills, Vivian uncovers more unsettling discoveries about the town, her reclusive family, and herself. Can Vivian let go of every truth she’s ever believed and discover who she really is, before the dark secrets hidden within the supernatural town threaten to consume her and those she loves?

My review: Copy was provided for the blog tour.

I think The Enchanted Rose by Nadia Nader is the first witch book I’ve ever read and I was not disappointed. The beginning of the book really caught me and it may be because of the setting. Misty Hills is the town where all the mystery in the book took place. In this hot weather in my country I would want to move to Misty Hills! It’s so mysterious and cold and I like cold places. I like how Misty Hills and the Tremaine Estate were described vividly it really makes me want to go to those places.

The book also went straight to the conflict or mystery of the story which I really liked too. The main character, Vivian is not like any female main characters in fantasy/paranormal books. She’s not whiny even though she has every reason to be because her mother just died and her father left her with her two eccentric aunts in a small town when she was used to travelling the world. She searched for the solution of the problem even though the people around her did not like to help her. And she’s so gorgeous! I’m also pretty curious about the two hot guys in the story, Jaxon and Hunter. Vivian can have the other guy, I can have the other guy. No big deal.

The only thing I did not like about this book is that it did not make me desperate to know the mystery in the book. It did not build up that kind of feeling me but I’m still a little curious as to what will happen next in the second book. The cover is so pretty too! I kind of like just stare at it on my phone when I was taking breaks from reading the book.

Overall, this book is a very enjoyable and light read but it still has this air of mystery. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try witch books!
